| Pyrobel-45-16™ fire rated glazing is a clear 5/8" (16mm)
glazing rated at 45 minutes with hose stream. It is safety tested and
rated to meet all local, regional, state and federal code requirements.
The special multi-intumescent innerlayer makeup of Pyrobel offers
outstanding fire protection with limited temperature rise as well as
excellent acoustical qualities. In case of fire the intumescent
interlayers expand at about 120°C and transform into a rigid and
opaque shield effectively blocking both convected and radiated heat
transmission. This ensures effective egress for building occupants as
well as the prevention of fire expansion due to the spontaneous
combustion of materials on the protected side. |
| Pyrobel-45 is listed for use in sidelites and borrowed lites
as allowed by model building codes. Pyrobel provides the ultimate "edge"
